Autumn is here! Though the Autumn Festival is still some way off, the change in weather leaves no doubt that Summer has said its farewells. There hasn’t been much lingering warmth to enjoy here. Instead it’s been wind, wind and more wintry wind. Still, Autumn is a beautiful time of year, and perfect for woodland walks when you’re all bundled up in your favourite scarf. Of course, the folk of Middle-Earth can also keep warm with some quality pipeweed, shipped direct from the Shire to make any crisp September morning that much more comfortable.
This outfit was totally inspired by this fantastic hat. There are similarly shaped ones around, but I’ve never seen this type with a pipe in the band. It didn’t take long then to come up with a smoking outfit, of course more than a little inspired by everyone’s favourite, grey-bearded pipeweed fan. The cloak is one of the classic Autumn festival rewards, while the scarf and boots come from Yule and Farmer’s festivals respectively. The robe can be bought at Rivendell, and the gloves are crafted. The gloves are naturally this muted shade of purple which I added to the scarf to give a little more depth to typical autumnal colours.
I’m very much looking forward to the coming months, especially because of Halloween! An outfit blogger who loves dressing up, go figure. In the meantime I’ve been having fun, (in an admittedly loose sense of the word), digging up goodies at the Treasure Hunt. It’s already inspired some fun outfits, which hopefully I’ll be able to showcase soon.
